Quality versus Price

You probably know the expression “you get what you pay for”. I would like to tell you about our experience recently where we were asked to quote for a large job.

Because we offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee on all our Commercial Carpet Cleaning as well as our Domestic Carpet Cleaning, we need to be very good at what we do. Part of the reason we offer our Money back Guarantee is that we use the best cleaning products, best equipment and the best trained technicians. This really is, or should be, a minimum standard.

Having submitted our quote we were informed that we were too expensive. This can happen so we moved on. Unfortunately when the job was done by the company who won the quote, it turned out to be very unsatisfactory indeed. The job had to be done twice and in the end, was still unsatisfactory.

All the time taken up in rectifying this job as well as the stress caused had a cost. I know anyone can make a mistake and if you go and rectify the problem people are very reasonable about this. In this case, however, the carpets were left in a mess. We were asked to come in and sort out the problem.

Price or Value for Money??? Price is important but not nearly as important as Value for Money.

Here are three things you can do to help avoid poor Value for Money:

  1. Ask for References and check them out. Anyone who cannot give your references, including name and telephone number should be avoided
  2. Look for a Money Back Guarantee no matter the size of the job
  3. Have a demonstration done in order to prove their carpet cleaning credentials.

We like to give Value for Money above all else and this is what a Carpet, Upholstery or Rug Cleaning customer deserves.
