Upholstery fabrics vary considerably, so products must be selected with care. The fabric, dyes, backing, filling and condition of the furniture all need to be considered.
Aqua-Dry uses hot water extraction for suitable fabric upholstery and has low-moisture hand tools to help control moisture during cleaning. The technician assesses the furniture and carries out appropriate tests before deciding whether cleaning can proceed.
Care labels and manufacturer’s instructions should be considered as part of that assessment. Not every fabric is suitable for water-based cleaning, and using less moisture does not automatically make an unsuitable fabric safe to clean.

Rugs require careful assessment because their fibres, dyes, construction and condition can affect how they respond to cleaning.
Our former rug cleaning centre is closed. Some suitable rugs can be cleaned in your home, subject to assessment. We no longer offer the rug-centre service or collection and drop-off arrangements described previously.
